12th March - Make your own Stoneware Vase with Mud Haus
Thursday 12th March
10am - 2pm
Lunch and a snack from Hawarden Estate Farm Shop, and unlimited tea and coffee included.
Learn the foundational skills of hand building and pottery, alongside Autumn from Mud Haus.
In this session, participants will create a stoneware vase using a traditional coiling technique, allowing forms to gently grow and take shape over time. You will learn how to:
Build height and structure.
Refine soft, organic forms.
Add simple decorative details inspired by the season.
The emphasis is on process, flow, and enjoying the tactile qualities of clay. Set within the beautiful surroundings of the Walled Garden School at Hawarden Estate, this workshop offers a chance to slow down, connect with an old craft, and enjoy a mindful creative morning.
Once completed, all pieces will be carefully dried and kiln fired. Finished Vases will be ready for collection from Hawarden Estate Farm Shop approximately three weeks after the workshop. Autumn can also arrange postage if required.
The workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience alike. All materials and tools are provided.
You do not need any prior skills to attend this class!
