Sunday 9th August 10am - 3:30pm Your ticket includes all equipment, weaving yarns, lunch from Hawarden Estate Farm Shop and unlimited hot drinks.
Tablet weaving is used to create woven bands, belts or straps.
In this session, you will be introduced to the special equipment and processes for tablet weaving. Pre-prepared looms will be provided so you can get to know the techniques. When you are feeling confident, you will set up a loom with colours and patterns of your choosing and by the end of the day you will have a distinct woven piece suitable to use as a strap, handle or decorative braid.
Equipment and weaving materials will be provided.
This session is suitable for all abilities!
About Hannah Robson
Hannah Robson is an artist and weaver who, using a range of weaving technologies and materials, creates two- and three-dimensional sculptures, installations and fabrics. She is interested in the spatial qualities of textiles: how they can affect and form space, change atmospheres, filter and reflect light.
